A Restaurant Rooted in the Estate
Whiteroom was commissioned by Doddington Hall & Gardens as lead design architects for a new restaurant concept rooted in the estate’s land, farming and produce. The vision was to create a destination dining experience that celebrated field to fork, transforming a new barn extension into a beautiful, considered space for visitors and food lovers alike.

Approach
Our approach was to create a restaurant that felt deeply connected to the estate, rather than simply placed within it. Inspired by modern agricultural buildings, natural materials and the warmth of rural hospitality, the interior balanced barn-like honesty with a refined, welcoming guest experience across the dining space, bar, terraces and visitor journey.





Project Value
The project translated Doddington Hall’s field-to-fork philosophy into a physical hospitality experience. It helped create a distinctive restaurant destination that celebrates food, farming, provenance and place, while strengthening the wider visitor offer and encouraging guests to stay longer, dine and return.
