The Soul of Madrid in Every Sip
Fabrica Excepcional is a new bar concept in the heart of the vibrant Malasana district of Madrid. It is a collaboration between La Sagra brewery and Fabrica, Madrid’s only ‘brew-pub’. The venue will offer drinkers the opportunity to enjoy modern beers and lagers from both brewers as well as have a chance to try new liquids and collaborations as well as Madri Excepcional which was created by La Sagra in partnership with Molson Coors.

The Challenge
La Sagra brewery and Fábrica envisioned a new bar concept that went beyond function, it needed to be a dynamic, community-driven space that would serve as a hub for both locals and visitors. We also needed to balance both brand identities with historical influences, ensuring every element felt both heritage-rich and forward-thinking.
They needed a venue that felt lived-in yet fresh, integrating traditional materials, custom artwork and thoughtful spatial planning to encourage interaction and storytelling. The space was thoughtfully designed and laid out to seamlessly integrate a fully operational brewery, giving visitors a front-row seat to the craft behind every pint.
Project Value
In collaboration with our sister studio, Foretell Studio, we made sure every design choice was carefully curated to reflect all this. Bespoke artwork throughout the space captures the city’s essence, telling a visual story that connects visitors to the rich cultural heritage of Spain and champions the fusion of ideas which sits at the heart of the Madrileños. Heritage-inspired details, such as houndstooth-patterned stools and raw, tactile materials, bridge the gap between past and present, ensuring a design that is both timeless and fresh.
