Giant approached Whiteroom with a clear ambition: to elevate their UK retail presence and set a new benchmark for experiential bike retail. The Swansea location was earmarked to become a flagship space – not just a store, but a destination that celebrates cycling culture and community.
The challenge was to reimagine an uninspiring warehouse shell and transform it into a world-class environment that seamlessly blended retail, rider services, and brand storytelling. Functionality, flow, and flexibility had to be designed into every detail, creating an intuitive journey for both casual customers and passionate cyclists.

The Solution
Whiteroom delivered a comprehensive brand and spatial design solution that brought Giant’s vision to life. Our approach focused on creating a rider-first environment with a strong sense of place and purpose.
The store was zoned to guide visitors through distinct yet connected experiences – from bike displays to apparel, accessories, bike fitting services, and a welcoming rider info lounge. Key architectural interventions included the introduction of exposed structural elements, oversized branded graphics, and custom-designed modular merchandising fixtures that can adapt as the product offering evolves.
Natural materials, muted tones, and planting were layered with Giant’s bold brand colour palette to create warmth and energy within the industrial volume. Careful attention to lighting, wayfinding, and materials ensured every touchpoint reflected the premium nature of the brand while feeling approachable and community-focused.
